BATTING HELMET SIZE GUIDE
The lower inside edge of the front pad should be approximately 1” above your eyebrows. With your head upright the helmet bill should be parallel to the ground. The helmet should have a snug fit against your head.
Q. How do I properly fit my Schutt batting helmet/equipment?
A. Fitting a Schutt Batting Helmet and your equipment correctly is extremely important, we recommend talking or visiting with our authorized Schutt® dealers to ensure you are properly fitted. You can easily download any one of our Schutt Catalogs and review the product sections by going to the Schutt catalog Page. The Schutt catalogs will provide you with size chart guidelines and general fitting instructions.
Q. I want to write my name on my helmet so I know it’s mine. Is that ok?
A. The solvents contained within the permanent marker are mostly alcohol based, and flash off immediately. Writing a person's name with a "Sharpie" brand permanent marker will not void the warranty on our batter's shells.
Q. I want to paint my softball helmet myself is that ok?
A. We strongly recommend that Schutt® Sports Mfg. Co. or one of it’s approved NAERA member reconditioners apply the new paint, because of the very specific procedures that are required. Please contact Schutt® Sports Customer Service Department for information on approved reconditioner: 1-800-426-9784. If your Schutt Softball Helmet has labeling that says ”DO NOT PAINT” please do not attempt to paint it. If your Batting Helmet does not say this the approve paints are as follows: Color-Set INC, WURDACK, INC, Sherwin Williams Corp, AKZO/Sikkens, DuPont Corp, & Createx Brand.
Q. I want to attach my Schutt® Faceguard to my Schutt® batting helmet, can I get some help?
A. Yes!! You’ve come to the right place. The below pdf file is a schutt drilling template you can use to drill into the shell and attach your batter’s guard. Please thoroughly read the instructions and print the sheet as specified in the pdf file. All NEW Schutt Batting Helmets come pre-scored so you'll know exactly where to drill and won't need a template.
