Football Helmet Reconditioning by Schutt Recon

Shell
Scuffs, scratches and war-marks are common on any football helmet, when you send us your painted shell we sandblast it and smooth out any imperfection. It’s then off to the paint room where we apply the same incredible paint job as we do on your new helmets.

Molded shells are taken through a vigorous buff & shine that helps smooth the surface. We take it a step further and treat with additional scrubbing and sanitizing then apply a final buff to bring out the shine.

Faceguard
Faceguards are thoroughly inspected and replaced if they do not meet standards.

Interior Components Pads
All the pads are taken out and get a washing like you couldn’t believe! The process includes detergents, disinfectants, deodorizes, anti-bacterial treatments, and an industrial wash.

Decals
All worn out, scuffed, and scratched decals are taken off then the remaining adhesive is cleaned off.

Hardware
Any season can take a toll on all the hardware that’s why we replace all T-nuts and screws with brand new stainless steel hardware.  Even faceguard loop straps are replaced and installed on your guard.
